I liked the location of the hotel, just 10 minutes on foot and 3 minutes by car from the ocean. Clean area and friendly staff. The room was clean and with everything you needed. The hotel is not new, but meets the price.

There were plenty amenities at the resort. We booked a suite with quite a lot of space, utilities and a reasonable rate. The ability to access the property, for a few hours after check-out was also a great add-on.

We had a great stay. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for making lunches. Our little ones really enjoyed the slide in the pool, the table football and other facilities. Special thanks to Joe on the front desk who was very friendly and professional.

Amapola is popular with young families who enjoy spending all day and night at the pool. Because it is a few blocks away from the ocean, the rates are lower than properties on the ocean. The restaurant is open 24-7 and the food is very good. There is a full bar in the pool so you can swim up to get your beverage of choice. The room is clean, comfortable, and has a view of the pool. Amapola is a great value!

this was an enjoyable stay. our kids LOVED the pool and the fish/turtle pond. we had a wonderful balcony with a vew of the pool. the breakfast was included and was very good. typical costa rican breakfast plus some typical american breakfast items. the staff were very friendly and kept our room so clean.

The breakfast is really good and the staff is really pleasent. The restourant up front offers a delicious selection. I noticed a lot of locals come here to pick up their food, so you know it is good. Also, you can order from the restourant to your room so you can wait in your room if you prefer. If nothing else, come here for the food it is that good! You can also book a massage.

Old school Costa Rican flavour and decor, with a hearty American or Typical breakfast included. Mexican restaurant has wonderful wood fired pizza, nice staff and daily drink/food specials. Comfortable pool chair pads and shade available.
